There are reports of it in at least 16 states currently, however it seems to be a combination of urban-myth/hoax and jokester-types acting on the opportunity. Lots of sitings and threats being confirmed as fake, but lots being confirmed as real too (attempting to lure kids and people into the woods with candy and money, woman in Nova Scotia, Canada, reportedly surrounded by 5 clowns, etc.).

Like I said, seems to be a combination of people doing this; what with Stephen Kings' 'It' being filmed, Halloween being around the corner, some criminals, and jokester-types taking advantage.

I dunno, what do you guys think? True, false, bit o' both?
