Hacker News is about discussing stories of intellectual interest and maintaining signal over noise - if we want to see what's going on over at reddit, we'll just go there.
Edit: since this story's been flagged, I'll have to answer kostko's reply to me in an edit - Hacker News, like many "link sites", including reddit, assumes one link per thread as the subject of that thread. You link to a single story, or article, and the thread which follows discusses that story.
What you've done is post several links from another link aggregator here, after simply linking to the front page of a subreddit. That is not an attempt to foster discussion around a single subject, it's spamming a thread with your own comments.
Your account is old enough that I would expect you to know how forums work, especially ones that care about quality of discussion over quantity of clickbait, so I'm sorry, but what makes no sense is your apparent confusion as to what acceptable behavior on Hacker News is.
