How would you make a grocery food brands better using tech? I am working on a food brand and solving problems using technology when possible (and when it makes sense keeping speed in mind).
Would love to get your thoughts on where you think tech could be most useful. Some areas I am 'automating' - PRODUCT FEEDBACK - Customer feedback on early product prototypes. I ask people to enter their feedback on a web page and only ask 1 question / customer (for a total 10 unique questions asked over 100 people before I iterate on the product) - For when I start demoing in-stores, I'll extend similar tech to the store INVENTORY - Tracking how much inventory we expect every store to have and showing it on our website so customers know where to find us. - At a later point, scrape services like instacart to ensure they are showing my product as available in stores that its actually carried in. SALES - App for our delivery drivers to list how many units were available when they went into the store (and how many they added). Knowing this at a store level helps understand velocity at a given store. - Using this data and combining it with facts like store size, neighborhood demographics etc will help decide which areas to grow in first. - Inventory tracking & sales data will help turn the business into more of a just in time production model making it a more lean business OPERATIONS - Integrating with on-demand services to pick up and deliver our food when required (so we are only paying for the time If you are working on something similar/interested in shooting ideas - would love to chat more!! |
