So I was reading Sam Altman's blog on merging humans and computers ---http://blog.samaltman.com/the-merge and he seems to really believe that this is going to become a reality within our lifetime. I am highly doubtful ... is there any particular reason to believe that we are this close to merging humans and technology and even be able to dramatically enhance traits like intelligence and other non-tangibles ?
