Choosing a university is a big decision with many things to consider. There doesn't seem to be anywhere to get all information you could want, presented cleanly in one place.

comparetheuniversities.com is just starting up at Edinburgh's #launch48 this weekend and intends to make it easy to choose a university. It will match people to courses based on their preferences and grades. We are combining information from league tables, student surveys and local information to help people choose.

Ultimately we aim to take things beyond course search to aspirational search, e.g. "I want to be a rocket scientist, what should I study and where?"
