Wow, do people really not get that?

MySQL, including InnoDB, is dual-licensed, and has been for a while. So unless you want to package MySQL/InnoDB with a commercial product, nothing has changed.

It looks like, though, that just getting MySQL from Oracle and wanting the annual support contract for a version with innodb will cost $2k/year. The page says that you can't get support for 'classic' MySQL. I can't find an earlier version of that page with pricing, so perhaps this has changed a bit?

Doesn't look like this has affected the 'Community Edition' (yet?)
