Unrequested (and Poor) Advice from Young Inexperienced Folk with better SEO Is it just me, or do I immediately ignore well ranked 'advice' articles (on HN or other social sites) from relatively young entrepreneurs. My attitude is, if someone under 30 wrote the article, you can pretty much ignore the advice they offer completely. Often, they offer advice when all I hear is 'youthful indiscretions' and already obvious shit I'd already figured... Seriously, if you're under 30, you shouldn't consider that anyone will look to you as 'experienced' or even world-wise. All we see is someone better as SEO and ranking high on social networks, which just erodes the only real benefit of being deemed an 'expert', especially in an unrelated field. Leave wisdom to the old. Stick to educating the old to what's 'hip'. We'll ignore it anyway, but look interested while you tell us it's 'cool'. |
