Misleading headline. He filed a copyright claim for $35. No one investigated and the government certainly didn't say he was Satoshi. If he were, it's easy to prove by moving coins.

Can a mod kill this BS? Even from the article itself (yes, I put on my wading boots):

"To be clear these are just registrations. Although an official would have to sign off on the validity of Wright’s claims, this is not definitive proof that he is indeed Satoshi or the creator of the Bitcoin code."
