I think it is about time for web app vendors to get together and drop IE support. Incomplete and buggy support for HTML5 in IE9 is the final straw. The lost traffic might very well be offset by the lowered development costs. And if we can get a few major sites behind (FB, Google, Yahoo, Wikipedia), then it is a win-win.

Starting Feb 14th, IE users would be faced with a dialog warning of lack of support for IE and a list of links to alternative browsers. What do you think?
