Maybe I'm getting old but I'm seeing some very troubling signs with the current social climate. Cancelling shows, destroying monuments, getting people removed from their jobs, and getting people silenced on social media all due to not agreeing with their worldview. It seems very much like the Nazi students burning books that didn't agree with their worldview.

I agree that black people have been dealt a really shit hand in the US and it's going to take something to really shake the system to improve the lives of the average black person. Globalisation has stripped away a lot of the good jobs they could work with a lower socioeconomic background. Relaxed gun laws puts the police on edge, who react with strong tactics. No good social safety nets for income or health. It's going to take a huge amount of funding and time to drag the community out of the poverty cycle and a lot of people seem unwilling to spend this money.
