Ask HN: how do people brainstorm/get feedback on side project ideas? I've had some free time recently, and so have been thinking about starting a side project. I have a few ideas, and have been trying to brainstorm more. I often want to share them with friends to both 1) see if they would want to work on them as well, 2) see what they think of the idea. So for I have been doing this via text/email. One of my other friends does a similar thing but keeps an excel sheet. Do other people do this as well? If so, are there any other tools/communication mechanisms you use? The issues I have with my current methodology are that I don't like having to send the same message to multiple people, and I would also like to collect their thoughts in one place. I've considered using a google excel sheet/doc, but that feels maybe a bit hacky? I've also considered using Twitter or something (since another thing I sometimes want is to see what the general public thinks) but that doesnt feel like quite the right platform. |
