I have been interested in degoogled Android for a while. I am probably going to go with Graphene, but have been looking at alternatives that have better app compatibility.

How does /e/ compare with Calyx? Calyx seems to be more popular from what I can tell but I couldn't find a very comprehensive comparison between the two.

P.S. /e/ = LineageOS, which breaks Android's security model.

Graphene, then Calyx, is a great place to start.

If Android's security model precludes owner from gaining root privileges (even over adb), then on my phone, I would prefer that model broken, thank you very much.

What apps are you using that don't have PWA alternatives, out of curiosity?

I think navigation would be a problem with a PWA. I have only used the Google maps app so I am not really sure what other options are out there. Fdroid has OSM app that seems useable, but it wouldn't be a PWA.

I think bank apps would be a big thing as well. PWA do not allow you to takr pictures of checks.

(Only if they require SafetyNet or whatever, otherwise, you can get them with Aurora store)
