Ask HN: How long do people go on Xmas leave in your region?

People have already started going on leaves for a month and more. As a startup/tech person, it takes me time to wrap my head around such long leaves.

How long people go for leaves in your region? How much off-time do you take?

Just curious, no judgements!

I have found 1 to 2 week leaves not unusual. I am taking a month off this year after not taking any ptos around the holidays other than the mandatory ones for the last several years. I think I have seen summers to be much more common for long time offs.

I am in Canada.

Usually a week or two. I've never worked with anyone who took an entire month off just for the Christmas holiday, though more power to them I guess. In startup world, I did know plenty of people who would take a month off in summer.
