There are countless examples of hatred, even within people of the same ethnicity. The notion that this will somehow be eliminated by corporate D&I policies or public school level education is …. Unrealistic IMHO.
It’s upsetting to hear but I don’t think we can get rid of racism. Rather, we should be explicit about what is racist behavior at the legal level. People might hate but you can punish them for showing it.
When your president and your political party champion racism, christian fascism, misogyny, lying and cheating you're going to feel safe doing it as well.
I have no data but I feel that this is actually the majority viewpoint in the US.
