What’s interesting about western cultures is that they don’t seem aware that elsewhere around the world, white people are racist to other white people.

There are countless examples of hatred, even within people of the same ethnicity. The notion that this will somehow be eliminated by corporate D&I policies or public school level education is …. Unrealistic IMHO.

It’s upsetting to hear but I don’t think we can get rid of racism. Rather, we should be explicit about what is racist behavior at the legal level. People might hate but you can punish them for showing it.

Who ever thought racism had gone away? I'm not sure why people think there's been some explosion of racism? That's nonsense. The difference between today and the past is that the right (starting with Newt) made racism mainstream and provided support for people expressing and demonstrating racism.

When your president and your political party champion racism, christian fascism, misogyny, lying and cheating you're going to feel safe doing it as well.

I have no data but I feel that this is actually the majority viewpoint in the US.
