I don't really get why equity is a big consideration here. Is anybody going into firefighting or nursing or policing thinking that they're ever likely to work from home in 99% of the field's jobs?
Shouldn't we just acknowledge that every kind of job is different and has different advantages and disadvantages? Many jobs that are able to have people WFH can be unhealthy, soul-crushing, and mentally draining experiences to balance out the fact that there's a benefit like being able to do that from home at times.
