While 48% of the Forbes Cloud 100 have had layoffs since 2022, only 1 of the 5 (20%) remote companies on the list have had layoffs.
The 5 remote companies on the list: Vercel - no layoffs (#95 on the Cloud 100) Zapier - no layoffs (#13 on the Cloud 100) Grafana Labs - no layoffs (#37 on the Cloud 100) dbt Labs - no layoffs (#79 on the Cloud 100) Attentive - 15% layoff in Jan 2023 (#10 on the Cloud 100)
Why might this be? Is it possible that remote companies are more robust to the current layoff wave? Is this just the result of a small, non-stat-sig sample size?
