Like during the COVID pandemic where everyone and their dog had an opinion on it and an irrepressible urge to voice it out loud, again today we need articles and tweet authors to show their badge before we engage with their LK-99 opinion piece.

Because after a week of hype, I'd keenly read the thoughts of a sceptical but optimist material physicist, while I couldn't care less about the opinion of a random person whose only credential is "following the right people on Twitter."

Given that this article doesn't even offer a real name, let alone credentials, I admit I opened and immediately closed the tab.
