"current events" are usually at best not upvoted; and in this particular conflict often flagged.

I appreciate the links and am submitting some on that basis. if others don't care to see them thats fine but the chance someone else wanted to see it is worth the effort, IMO. to browse /newest is to see much that is of interest only to others.
