I don’t understand why we cannot discuss this topic. Enough people are interested in it.

I wonder if dang can look into whether we just have mass flagging circles. The rest of us want to discuss this.

There are plenty of places to discuss this that aren't HN. The HN Guidelines say

"Off-Topic: Most stories about politics, or crime, or sports, or celebrities, unless they're evidence of some interesting new phenomenon. Videos of pratfalls or disasters, or cute animal pictures. If they'd cover it on TV news, it's probably off-topic."
