It's just wild how much intermediation & control & centralization the internet has created. And the public has no rights, is perpetually unable to fiddle or enhance: the public's will comes crashing against anti-circumvention "felony offense of business model" protections that give these megaliths whatever rights they please (see Mark Lemley pointing out the digital's removal of property rights & replacement by rights given to us under the contract law presented in terms of use).
