The founders weren’t pro universal democracy. They were pro mitigating a coming riot and knew they had to unify disparate interests into a rabble that wouldn’t become a mob. The result is as weak a democracy as you could fashion.

Social medias ultimate result will be a mob. When that reaches a majority, they’ll go after any minorities. It’s their nature.
