I wonder if Google is forced to disclose the reasons for this change in a different jurisdiction like the EU

If my Pixel4a is about to explode on a plane due to bad settings, I'd really like to know about please.

I'm on Lineage so I've managed to avoid the fiasco, but it begs the question of whether the Lineage devs ought to include the battery patch if something bad is certain.
