Like many here, I'm working on a project I think is pretty fun: it lets you write emails in different personalities (think public figures, philosophers, pop stars etc.). It's a bit of a creative tool and a bit of a productivity hack, depending how you use it.
I'd love to build it in public, get feedback, and iterate with a community. I've seen other indie hackers grow their products this way—but I'm unsure where the best place is to do that now.
I tried posting on Show HN a couple times, but the posts didn’t seem to show up or get any traction. I’m wondering:
Where are people building in public these days?
Any platforms (besides HN) where people are consistently sharing progress and getting feedback?
Appreciate any thoughts or links. Thanks!
But why go to all this trouble to market building your product? Are you hoping someone will commission you to build their product?
I would yeet this entire plan and just focus on getting your software finished as quick as possible, then put all your energy towards getting sales and hit up whatever subreddits and whoever writes or talks about AI utilities and tools and get these places and people to refer their audiences to your software.
