Anecdotally, I've began experimenting with taking mushrooms immediately before going to sleep. It doesn't seem to have as much of a lasting effect as taking them during the day does, and if I take them too long before bed it can be difficult to fall asleep, but other than that it's been working well. No significant changes to my sleep or how rested I feel, other than more vivid dreams than usual.
I have also had good experience with sleep-shrooming, I agree it seems to minimize the sedating aftereffects. Also probably helps avoid any wildcard ontological shock.
Also, I would be very curious to hear how the TBG turns out.
1/16th oz (half a bar) is the max for that usage ime, and that dosage can have a powerful (negative) impact on your sleep quality if the stimulation of the trip’s contents prevent you from succumbing to the sedation, wouldn’t recommend with any reliability.
on the other hand, I’ve had 3/16oz trip in the early evening with no intention of sleeping it off put me into a trancy slumber that was ultimately refreshing.
with increasing dosages it may be up to how quickly one can reliably fall asleep under the nonlinear body/mental load curves that happen passing through threshold. the acidic environment of the stomach activates the compounds much more effectively, but mushroom powder in an enteric capsule (you can get them empty) should still have activity from the alkaline intestine enzymes. that gives you a delayed release and a lower dose-response curve to play with, could be worthwhile for you.
