Phonetic sounds strung to produce words transcribed instantly by modern AI. If we can hardly understand them sometimes, what chance have these machines got? The Lord has slipped one through the cracks this time, by some errant voice. By some exceptional miracle, some mish-mash of Polish words has been rendered into a link to my indie web project. This all happens automatically, I just got the early 'ping'.
Just imagine my surprise while reading my website logs when I found that there was a Polish radio station linking my burgeoning #IndieWeb project. Then becoming curious, I dug a little deeper. Turns out that it's one of the top radio stations in Poland, the Public Broadcaster. A perpetual skeptic, I wondered how this could be true. How would I know that this link is even genuine?
I clicked through to the source, and saw a picture of a man with a camera, a website from the Polish National Radio Station, and I learned about something called "PodCast Y". What does a Polish pod-cast about historical photography have to do with my project? There must be some sort of mistake. A link to my HTML Drafting project was completely outside of the scope of what I was seeing. I told myself: "There is no way they linked it". I was right but, at the same time I was so very wrong.
They did link it but, it didn't happen how you might think. The log I saw wasn't from a person exploring a posted-link, it was automated. It's all down to how these professional pod-casts are produced and transcribed. The shows are almost never broadcast live, but instead, they're recorded a few days in advance.
I looked it up from the URL, and determined when the show was scheduled for broadcast: Monday 11:30AM Polish time. That's 5:30AM in Toronto, and yes, I woke up early this morning to say an extra prayer, hoping this miracle-mention won't be expunged. For certain, the mention wasn't intentional. It was a flash in the pan, a blip in the machines, five syllables which inexplicably coalesced. But, those are my five syllables, and those are the best five syllables that they could have ever put together: "dee-cee-kim-dot-com".
The show's about to start, ten-minutes-out, and I can hardly contain my excitement. I know it's just an error from an automated transcription algorithm, but it's in my favour. We slipped one past the post this time. God slipped it through some cracks and posted it conspicuously for all to see.
After this show goes "live-to-air" it will doubtless be transcribed again, and that "false positive" could produce the highest quality backlink that this website has ever seen. Prospectively, this could be within the month and it might just be the boost that my HTML Drafting Project needs to finally be thrust forth and emerge from the darkness of internet obscurity.
Needless to say, I will be recording the entire twenty five minute radio show from the PolskieRadio24 online app. It'll be broadcast on "Trójka" (channel three) at 5:30AM Toronto time.
Will this be the thing that finally propels my HTML Drafting Project to super-stardom? Only time will tell.
When I first switched on the PolskieRadio24 App, all I heard was what sounded like a dozen people, all talking over each other, broken up by "Tom Petty and the Heart-Breakers, Last Dance With Mary Jane". Could this mish-mash radio talk-show styling be the source of my Miracle Link? Only time will tell, whether this will become the highest quality backlink I have ever received. Google is really gonna respect this one. This is exactly the kind of stuff that they have been optimizing for. What did they really say? Your guess is as good as mine. I don't speak a word of Polish.
Thank you #PolskieRadio24 Trójka('troy-ka'), you've done wonders for me. Better yet, I thank God.
