I'm trying to recover my Facebook account, not from a TOS violation, but from a name issue.

It seems like people only have success by sending Meta a demand letter. I'm even Meta Verified, but I can't access customer service because I can't login because when I do, it immediately goes to the name issue message. I sent a second demand letter with a deadline of October 31st. If they don't answer by then, I will pay a law firm to send a demand letter, then if that doesn't work, I will sue them in court - I can't even unsubscribe from the Meta Verified subscription because I can't log in!

What's even better is that the 1-800 number on the Meta Verified receipt I get each month goes to a scammer and not Meta!

Could it maybe be because your channel is not about SaaS or Religion, but is actually about "sign up for my class that will teach you to sidehustle/dropship/AI/Bitcoin to unimaginable wealth".

This is why I stay as far away from Google as possible. I don't use Google to log in anywhere. I don't use Gmail for anything at all.

You don't mention what browser you're using but I've found that Google is much more lenient with auth on Chrome than any other browser. Whenever I've gotten stuck before, I switch to Chrome and then I can get through. I've never had an account locked like this though, so ymmv.

Google is doing this new thing where if you don't log into your account for more than 8 months they lock the account. Then even if you log in with your username and password, and give them the alphanumeric code they send to your email, they still won't let you log in unless you add a phone number to your account. Which basically means that any account without a phone number, if left alone for 8 months, will automatically be deleted. Because it will be impossible to log in again before the "2 year idle" delete happens.

I know this because it just happened to my back-up google account. Good thing I moved my email off google long ago.

Google does this because their product is the user, who they sell. And users who do not link their account to valuable information like a phone number are not profitable.

Not a nice thing to do, but she should not have cheated on him. He was clearly very angry.
