I've built vetr.is – privacy respecting host, looking for beta testers/feedback I've been working on something for the past few months and wanted to share it with you all. I've built vetr.is, a VM hosting service that's a bit different from the usual suspects. What's special about it? ------------------------
What I'm offering
-----------------I'm looking for 10 beta testers to try it out and give me honest feedback. First 10 people who register will get €15 in credit, enough to run a decent server (2 cores, 2GB RAM, 30GB NVMe) for a full month. Why am I doing this? Because I want to build something that actually respects your privacy and doesn't nickel and dime you. I'd rather get real feedback from people who know what they're talking about than spend thousands on marketing. What I want from you --------------------
The boring stuff
----------------Standard terms, privacy policy, and acceptable use policy apply (no crypto mining, illegal stuff, etc.). If you're interested, just sign up at vetr.is and send me the first 4 characters of your account number (ex. XXX3) via PM (or comment, whichever you prefer), and I'll apply the credit for you (first 10 users). No credit card or anything like that required to start. Questions? ---------- Ask me anything! I'm here to answer questions about the tech stack, infrastructure, privacy features, or whatever else you're curious about. What do you all think? Is this something that solves a problem you have, or am I missing the mark? TL;DR: Built a privacy respecting VM hosting, giving first 10 beta testers €15 credit (1 month of a small server), want real feedback from the community. |
