Here is a demo of TunnelBuddy: an Electron app which lets one trusted friend share their internet connection with you over a P2P HTTPS proxy built on WebRTC. It’s in the same spirit as uProxy, but instead of relying on deprecated browser socket APIs, it uses Electron + Node.js to run a local HTTPS proxy and WebRTC data channels between two peers. There’s no signup and no accounts: the person sharing their connection generates a one-time code and sends it to their friend, who pastes it in to connect. Hopefully that gives some old-school TeamViewer vibes to anyone watching. It’s free to use; there’s an optional donation button in the app, but no ads or upsells.
