I saw this speech recently but am not sure what to make of it. I guess I appreciate the recognition that western powers trying to artificially hold onto hegemonic power could make things worse for everyone.

But I also feel like what replaces the western order, which he may be welcoming (not sure what his true agenda is), is not aligned to classic liberal values. Many newer powers don’t believe in free speech and competitive politics and freedom of religion and women’s rights for example.
