I really recommend reading this article personally. Highly recommended.
Ultimately, we split over this as she chose someone with no career potential but all the time in the world because nothing ever makes sense, split our meager holdings, and went our separate ways.
Several years later she was broke and I broke 7-figure net worth because I chose one of the right waves to ride. Everything comes at a price, and it sounds like these sad wives aren't willing to pay the tab. Faustian deals can be pretty Faustian and all that. Not a single word about what they were willing to do to take the insane pressure off their husbands if only to make sure the situation's entirely on them.
The "thank you, next" moment of this article for me:
"I should also say I didn’t bother speaking to any of the actual husbands for this story. I’m sick of hearing from the men of AI. So many of us are. They have podcasts and Senate hearings and magazine profiles and probably a group chat with the president. They’ve been talked to—and I can’t stress this enough—enough."
But also, thank you for the transparency here.
