I'm wanting to know if any other Aerospace or Defense companies are using image/video capture software like OBS or Digicam Control or Darktable and have had their cybersecurity departments audit and approve such software.

I ask this as I am running into resistance in making some custom imaging desks for technicians and would much rather not spend some hundred thousand dollars on software licenses for what amounts to simple PTP/MTP software. Digicam Control does literally everything I require and then some and it is this specific software which I am fighting to be allowed to use. Cyber says if I can find examples of other Aerospace/Defense companies using the software I desire, then I'm golden.

Barring that, are there any other industry-known image capture programs compatible with Nikon Z-series cameras that are open source and preferably MIT-licensed or similar for commercial usage?
