This has been the case with philosophy in the Western World from the beginning of the Scientific Revolution and only got worse over time.

They got stuck in smaller/trivial issues without relevance to the real-world. They forgot that "Reductionism" is not the right approach to philosophy which is supposed to provide an all-encompassing worldview however incomplete it might be, that can be used by an ordinary human to flourish in life.
