I read that Anglo as in Anglo-Saxon, and I was confused why they would throw that in a article.

It turns out Anglo is a diamond company.

Fun fact, Anglo American is a British company, founded by a German Jew, with a South African CEO. The company name reflects where the startup capital came from.
