I "go out" as that character most of the time except in my home and workplace and the experience ranges from being treated like a celebrity (people practically jump on me when I go out the front door of my building after transforming in the elevator, people practically jump on me when I get out of my car in a strange city, etc.) to feeling really out of place. I deal with the later by a process of "humanization" which is just doing things like ordering food and standing in line and hearing that the bagel for "Mr. Fox" is ready. That feeling of being ordinary is quite grounding when you have reason to feel special.
