Outside of personal outreach and marketing, what are the best avenues for jumpstarting a bootstrapped product into the market without an existing sales and marketing engine?

Selling/being acquired by a larger firm with the resources, trying to secure grants, looking for a VC/partner to invest, or some other secret sauce?
