When I see articles like this 'round here, I always head for the "new" page and spend a few minutes up voting worthy content.

Edit-Responding to child: Yeah flagging works, too, but it's not the same. Stories like these are usually just the reminder I need to spend more time on the new page making this place a better community, not just flagging and hoping to stop the degradation.
