If I load pages on HN in incognito mode, my load times are the same as they always were: fast, generally under half a second. On the other hand, if I load a page while signed in, there's a consistent delay of between 2-5 seconds before the page even begins to load. This started very recently, just after a discussion I had with multiple users where I acted like an asshole. Is this HN's way of keeping the riff-raff out? I can't find anything about gimping load times in the FAQ. If it is, it's an interesting policy. Just curious.
