Ask HN: Is dedicated airtime TV's biggest advantage? I've recently gotten more and more into podcasts and have found that I've really enjoy the format. One of my favorites is Grantland, specifically the BS Report and The Jalen Rose Report. They are pretty frequent with the rate they put up content but in comparison to television which has to put up 24 hours of content it's not quite the same. I'm curious if the content constraints are a benefit or a detriment to TV? In theory podcasts can put up infinite content yet that doesn't seem to be the strategy most people employ, most likely for good reason. Would love to hear other people's thoughts on this. |
