Re-invent the pomodoro technique I don't really know if i re-invented the pomodoro technique, but i feel that i improved it for the kind of person that i'm. I'm working on a master thesis, so i'm working most of the time at home, and i need a way to discipline myself in order to be more productive. There came the pomodoro technique in my life, at first i like it, i thought it had every thing down correct, the 25 minute of work, 5 minutes of rest, premise was very correct for the kind of we do. But every time i have done it feel a pressure, on that rest time, and some times the 5 minutes was enough, some times wasn't. What i have done, i completely scratched the rest time, you can rest any time you want, so long has you complete a daily quota of pomodoros. For me a normal day i do 14 pomodoro, so doesn't matter where or when i do it, so long i do it. And i can have 10 minutes rest, 30 minutes, 1 minute, doesn't matter, plus when your working on stuff like that, at rest time you are also working. So for everyone that struggled with the pomodoro technique, try this one, it might be the one. |
