Copying and the Internet: A Never-Ending Saga of Infringement(blog.kunvay.com) |
Unfortunately just as easy and fast as it is to send information in the digital age, it is just as easy to copy someone else’s content
"Sending information" is exactly "copying someone else's content". They're synonyms.
The rest of it is just as bad. As a self-proclaimed lawyer, that dude should know not to use the phrase "intellectual property". The phrase conflates at lest 3 different legal things. Second, he (possibly deliberately, who knows) writes things that imply ownership of ideas. This is false. You can't own an idea, as it can easily be independently invented. The purpose of copyright (which is most of his "intellectual property") is to encourage people to enlarge the public domain. Ownership is forever, and as we've seen, decreases or eliminates the public domain.
All in all, a self-serving piece of propaganda.
