I am a Techie guy who works on a Software Development Tool built on JAVA which gets work done by dragging and dropping components within the tool. The tool writes JAVA code in the background based on the components developer added for a functionality.

I did notice that lot of folks who work on Software Tools have less knowledge on the basics such as HTML/JS/CSS. Even though the tool auto writes JAVA in the background a developer who coded it inside the tool doesn't even have a clue of what is written by the tool in JAVA

Is it more difficult for developers building to build a 2 page website rather than creating a complex things in tool?

Did anyone have similar experiences ?
