I am the CIO at a 3-year old start-up (not a co-founder). I am thinking I have a good idea for a new opportunity and I need to get a front-end designer to work on the interface with me. I have a great designer that works for me, but I do not want to make a bad situation for him/myself or the current company. I could ask the CEO first about working on the side with the designer, but that would not go over-well I am sure. So do I:

1) Just get another designer to get things going 2) Ask current employee if interested in afterwork/weekend engagement and keep all outside work outside
